As most of you may have heard in the last week, a new ‘cookie law’ has been introduced within Europe. This law states that before a user enters a website, they must be given the option of if the website will track ‘cookies’ or not. Thankfully the UK has been provided a watered down version of this law as 95% of websites including the government isn’t ready for this yet, see articles below:

As silly as this law is currently being viewed worldwide, the law is the law, and so you and we must comply. We have already updated your privacy policy some time ago to reflect the required changes so that nothing will bite you in the backside.

[testimonial]Most browsers allow you to refuse to accept cookies. (For example, in Internet Explorer you can refuse all cookie by clicking “Tools”, “Internet Options”, “Privacy”, and selecting “Block all cookies” using the sliding selector.) This will however have a negative impact upon the usability of many websites, including this one.[/testimonial]

While I’m sure you will all agree with us when we say having a huge pop-up box before you enter the website asking for permission to track cookies would not only be off-putting to enter the website, it could cost you business. However it will become far more common and you will start to notice this appearing across most website in due course. We will update you with any further changes.
